Will I See Hot Spots Through the Stone?

When a backlighting system is designed correctly, the answer is generally no.

Modern high-quality LEDs typically have an expected lifespan of approximately 30,000 hours in a sandwiched Zero air gap instsallation, claims of 50000 to 100000 hours are not realistic in this application.
